August was your best month for enquiries in the sixteen months we have measured. 45 form submissions, 21 of them from organic search, both records, and the organic figure is up 163% on August last year. In the quiet season.
Search clicks eased slightly, and the reason is worth understanding. Clicks were down 3.2% on July, but impressions rose 7.5% to the highest level since May. Google showed you more often and fewer of those people clicked. Had your click-through rate held at July's level, August would have produced around 266 clicks rather than 239. That is the signature of Google answering more questions directly on the results page, not a ranking problem, and the enquiry record in the same month says the visitors who do arrive are the right ones.
Year on year the picture is clear: August clicks are up 61.5% on August 2025, and that is now four straight months ahead of the same month last year.
Window 26 July to 25 August 2026, against the previous window (Google reports these on a rolling basis rather than calendar months).
| Measure | 26 Jul to 25 Aug | 26 Jun to 26 Jul | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile impressions | 586 | 423 | +39% |
| Direction requests | 63 | 47 | +34% |
| Website clicks | 23 | 22 | +5% |
| Calls | 5 | 2 | +3 |
586 profile impressions is the strongest of the four windows we have for 2026. Your Google profile also under-reports interactions, so treat these as a floor.

On the Maps grid, "hedge maintenance" holds a top-three position from all 169 points, and "tree removal" and "arborist" are at 76 and 68 points respectively. One is moving the wrong way: "gardening services" has gone from 18 top-three points in March to 10 now. Google Business Profile
One finding is worth acting on more than any other. Your four main service pages were shown 53,803 times across June to August and produced 86 clicks, because none of them rank on page one. "Arborist" alone was shown 4,556 times. Meanwhile two blog posts do half of all your search clicks.
The demand is there and the service pages are not yet ranking well enough to catch it. That is the work with the clearest payoff from here.
